We are seeking experienced Surgical Technicians to join our team in VA medical centers across Florida. Where You’ll Work:
We are hiring for VA Medical Centers and Clinics throughout Florida, including:
- James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital – Tampa, FL
- West Palm Beach VA Medical Center
- Vero Beach VA Clinic
- Other VA locations
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
- Set up and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment before and during procedures.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants as needed.
- Monitor and maintain strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis following proper collection and preservation protocols.
- Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment and assist in post-operative clean-up.
- Support patient preparation, positioning, and transport before and after surgery.
- Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other OR staff to ensure seamless surgical operations.
- Must have completed a Surgical Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or an equivalent training program.
- At least one year of experience in an operating room setting preferred, but recent graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is highly preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to remain focused under pressure and work effectively within a surgical team.

Pay rate: $28 - $30 per hour
