About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Advisor to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. In this role, you will provide Cerner expertise, knowledge transfer, and support to National/VISN Councils, local workshops, and VA solution experts. You will play a critical role in translating Cerner capabilities and nomenclature to ensure VA stakeholders fully understand the solution. Additionally, you will support the VA-assigned solution experts in their respective areas, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary solution knowledge to drive success.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide Cerner expertise and support to VA stakeholders, including National/VISN Councils and local workshops.

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to enable VA solution experts to understand and leverage Cerner capabilities.

  • Collaborate with Solution Experts to translate Cerner functionalities and nomenclature for VA stakeholders.

  • Assist Solution Management Administrators (SMA) with task orders, deliverables, and ensure timely and accurate completion per program requirements.

  • Support current state workflow/requirements analysis and future state workflow design, including diagram creation.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and pain points in workflows.

  • Assist with the management, escalation, and resolution of trouble tickets and change requests.

  • Support EHRM testing activities, including script development, testing events, and reporting requirements.

  • Review and manage issues and risks, developing mitigation plans as needed.

  • Collaborate with Oracle Health and VA teams on build/design/workflow changes.

  • Assist in the review of training manuals, job aids, and cutover/go-live planning, including post-go-live support.

  • Provide administrative and programmatic support to Solution Teams, including meeting facilitation, action item tracking, and logistical coordination.

  • Support Informaticists with strategic planning, documentation, and administrative tasks.

  • Collaborate with the Office of Functional Champion Testing Team (OFCt) on testing activities.

  • Provide project management support, including business process development, briefing materials, and risk management.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years of professional work experience.

  • Expertise in Cerner configuration for Referral Management and Community Care solutions.

  • Experience managing Information Technology-related projects.

  • Strong knowledge of lifecycle and project management methodologies.

  • Proven ability to track costs, schedules, and performance progress.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related scientific/technical discipline (or an additional 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the VA or in a similar federal healthcare environment.

  • Experience implementing electronic health records (EHR).

  • Millennium experience on code levels 2018 or higher.

  • Understanding of Cerner Model recommendations.

  • Ability to independently design and develop new software products or enhancements for healthcare/clinical environments.

  • Experience in current/future state workflow analysis and design.

  • Experience managing functional validation and end-user testing for Cerner (or other EHR) and integrated third-party solutions.

  • Proficiency in leveraging ServiceNow’s out-of-the-box features for reporting and solution customization.

  • Strong leadership, written/oral communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
