We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our team at the VA Togus, Maine Healthcare System. The ideal candidates will possess at least one year of recent clinical experience and demonstrate technical proficiency in a range of nursing care services. CRNAs will provide patient-centered care within the VA system, ensuring compliance with credentialing and training requirements. This position requires a commitment to excellence, teamwork, and adherence to VA standards and protocols.

- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients at the Togus Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in accordance with VA policies and standards.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, critical thinking, and medication administration.
- Manage IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, admissions, discharges, and patient transfers.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to assistive personnel.
- Document care and treatment accurately in the VA’s electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Respond effectively to emergencies, including advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS) procedures.
- Ensure timely completion of VA-mandated training, including security protocols and compliance certifications.
- A minimum of one (1) year of current CRNA experience.
- Demonstrated competency in patient care, assessments, and clinical procedures as outlined above.
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist must be Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
- Full, current, and unrestricted RN license in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia.
- ACLS/BLS certifications
- Competence in critical nursing functions, including patient transport, emergency response procedures, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Prior experience working within the VA healthcare system.
- Experience in implementing and adhering to VA-specific policies and procedures.
- Expertise in Anesthetics and Emergency Department nursing.
