Joint Cyber Security Analyst
Emerging Tech is seeking a Joint Cybersecurity Analyst to support the Federal Electronic Health Records Modernization (FEHRM) office. This role supports cybersecurity risk management and operational coordination for the deployment of a single, shared Electronic Health Record (EHR) system across the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
This is a broad-based cybersecurity and consulting role requiring experience with modern cybersecurity concepts, cross-agency coordination, and securing large-scale, mission-critical health IT environments. The analyst will contribute to improving cybersecurity posture while supporting compliance, reporting, and joint risk management efforts. This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate across cybersecurity operational processes and stakeholder groups within and between DoD and VA to support maturation of cybersecurity capabilities for the joint EHR environment.
Apply modern cybersecurity approaches, including Zero Trust principles, to improve overall cyber posture.
Utilize hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection systems, PKI, and secured network environments.
Design and implement systems that comply with federal cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and deliver briefings, reports, dashboards, and cybersecurity metrics for leadership and management review.
Lead and monitor migration of EHR data to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment from a joint cyber risk management perspective.
Plan for and conduct cybersecurity tabletop exercises to assess readiness and response capabilities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or another engineering or technical discipline, and 10 years of professional experience.
Strong understanding of modern cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and secure system design in complex enterprise environments.
Experience supporting cybersecurity efforts in large, multi-stakeholder or multi-agency environments.
Substitution
An additional 10 years of relevant professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a master’s degree.
