As a CRNA, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and other medications to patients undergoing various medical procedures. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and caring for individuals receiving or recovering from anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during medical procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement anesthesia care plans
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients throughout the perioperative period
- Manage pain relief strategies for patients post-operatively
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of anesthesia administration and patient responses
- Stay updated on advancements in anesthesia techniques and medications
- Master’s degree or doctorate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council of Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
- A current license to practice nursing in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property.
- A minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience as a CRNA within the last three (3) years (NOTE: VA experience is desirable).
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
