Emerging Tech is seeking experienced Radiologic Technologists to support on-site diagnostic imaging operations at the VA St. Louis Health Care System. These positions provide direct, hands-on imaging services across multiple modalities and play a critical role in ensuring Veterans receive timely, safe, and accurate diagnostic care. This requirement includes a base period and four one-year option periods.

Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (X-ray)
CT Technologist
MRI Technologist
Ultrasound Technologist
Mammography Technologist
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in assigned modalities following VA, ARRT, and Joint Commission standards.
Prepare, position, and assess patients to ensure safe and accurate exam performance while maintaining patient comfort.
Operate imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and VA protocols.
Adhere to radiation safety principles to minimize unnecessary exposure to patients and staff.
Verify exam quality, completeness, and proper technical parameters before submission to Radiologists.
Document all exams and patient interactions in the VA’s electronic health record and PACS systems.
Maintain cleanliness, readiness, and safety compliance of imaging rooms and equipment.
Follow all infection control, equipment handling, and modality-specific safety requirements.
Collaborate with radiologists, providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated patient care.
Support imaging operations during periods of increased volume, emergent requests, or staff shortages.
Ensure all work meets or exceeds national imaging standards and VA performance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (JRCERT or equivalent).
Current ARRT certification in Radiography; additional ARRT/ARDMS/NC credentialing required for specialty modalities (CT, MRI, Mammo, US, Nuclear Medicine).
Full, current, and unrestricted state license.
Minimum of three (3) years of post-training experience performing independent imaging procedures in a hospital or medical center.
Demonstrated proficiency with PACS, DICOM, and electronic medical record systems.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently in accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) & 7407(d).
Must meet all VA credentialing, onboarding, privacy, and annual training requirements.
Additional Requirements
Personnel qualifications are subject to review by the Chief Radiology Administrator and Chief of Radiology.
Must comply with all VA imaging standards, safety policies, infection control procedures, and radiology protocol requirements.
