Cyber Package Analyst (Mid-Level, BioMed)
Emerging Tech is seeking a Cyber Package Analyst (Mid-Level, BioMed) to support federal health IT security initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in information systems analysis, system security documentation, and cybersecurity compliance. The Cyber Package Analyst will review, augment, and maintain security packages, including system security plans, ensuring alignment with federal cybersecurity standards and program objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of professional work experience
Experience analyzing, designing, and integrating information systems and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software
Proficiency in structured analysis and design methodologies to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Ability to evaluate cost, risk, and compliance factors for IT systems
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related technical discipline (or 8 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or similar federal healthcare environments
Experience implementing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
Knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards and security package requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Review and augment current system security packages, including system security plans, in coordination with technical leads
Evaluate IT systems, COTS software, and integration strategies to ensure compliance with cybersecurity and program requirements
Translate business needs into technical specifications using structured analysis and design methodologies
Assess risks, costs, and impacts associated with security implementations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain, update, and validate cybersecurity documentation
Support security package submission and review processes for federal health IT programs
Assist technical experts in implementing enhancements and ensuring regulatory compliance
