Scheduling Solution Advisor
Position Overview:
Emerging Tech is seeking a Scheduling Solution Advisor to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in Cerner scheduling solutions, project management, and workflow optimization. The Scheduling Solution Advisor will provide knowledge transfer, guidance, and support to VA solution experts at the national, VISN, and local levels, ensuring effective implementation, testing, and adoption of scheduling workflows within the EHRM program.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Cerner expertise and solution knowledge for Scheduling to VA solution experts, National/VISN Councils, and local workshops
Translate Cerner capabilities and nomenclature to enable VA understanding in partnership with Solution Experts
Bring VA-assigned solution experts up to speed in their respective areas through knowledge transfer
Review and assist Solution Management Administrators (SMAs) with task orders and deliverables to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Support current state workflow and requirements analysis
Assist in designing future state workflows, including diagrams, risk identification, and pain point analysis
Support management, escalation, and resolution of trouble tickets and change requests
Assist in reporting requirements, mapping, and identification activities
Contribute to development of EHRM test scripts and support all EHRM testing phases and events
Review and help manage issues and risks, including mitigation planning
Collaborate with Oracle Health and VA teams on system build, design, and workflow changes
Assist in reviewing training manuals and job aids for alignment with workflows
Support cutover/go-live planning and provide post go-live support
Assist in developing and reviewing workplans and project documentation
Provide subject matter expertise in Scheduling workflows and processes
Facilitate stakeholder reviews, scenario evaluation, and workflow optimization recommendations
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of professional work experience
Experience managing IT-related projects, including tracking costs, schedules, and performance
Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related technical/scientific discipline (or 8 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
Cerner Millennium experience on code levels 2018 or higher
Understanding of Cerner Model recommendations
Experience identifying root causes, corrective actions, and solutions for major incidents
Experience leveraging ServiceNow for reporting and ticket management
Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups to evaluate, escalate, and resolve issues
Ability to facilitate reviews, assess stakeholder impact, and recommend workflow optimizations
