Emerging Tech is seeking experienced Medical Supply Technicians to support processing and supply operations at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY. Contract personnel will provide full-service sterile processing support for reusable medical devices (RMD) used in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and community living centers.

The level of service provided must meet or exceed the standards found in modern, state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facilities and comply with all current national standards for sterile processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all sterile processing functions for reusable medical devices (RMD), including decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, packaging, and distribution
• Support inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care units with timely and accurate delivery of sterile instruments
• Ensure compliance with current national standards and VA protocols for safety, sterilization, and infection control
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment according to manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
• Maintain accurate documentation, tracking, and inventory of instruments and supplies
• Adhere to all quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure patient safety
• Sign in/out daily and accurately record hours worked, as required by facility procedures
• Complete all required background investigation paperwork within established timelines

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent sterile processing experience (required)
• Completion of a recognized Sterile Processing Technician training program preferred
• Certification (CRCST, CBSPD) strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of national sterile processing standards and best practices
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed, regulated procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Familiarity with VA or federal medical environments is a plus
