Emerging Tech is proud to partner with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to recruit skilled Sterile Processing Technicians for the New York Harbor Healthcare System. Join our team and play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to our nation's veterans.  

What You'll Do:
  • Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment.  
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.  
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and industry standards (e.g., AAMI, OSHA, and Joint Commission guidelines).  
  • Track and manage inventory of sterile supplies and instruments.  
  • Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile equipment.  
  • Document and maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.  
  • Support a safe and efficient healthcare environment for veterans and staff.  
What You'll Bring:
  • Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or CSPDT) is required.  
  • 3+ years of experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare role.  
  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control practices, and medical terminology.  
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Pay range: $34 - $36 per hour
