Capture Manager
Emerging Tech is seeking a Capture Manager to join our Business Development team! This role requires proven experience in federal government contracting, a deep understanding of procurement processes, and expertise in leveraging platforms such as GovWin for market research, opportunity identification, and pipeline management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience leading successful capture efforts, and the ability to align business capabilities with federal contract opportunities. The Capture Manager will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities, driving them from capture decision to contract award. This role involves strategic planning, competitive analysis, and stakeholder engagement to enhance Emerging Tech’s position in the government contracting space. The ideal candidate will also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and work effectively within a cross-functional team to meet company growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
Build and manage a high-value business pipeline, aligning it with Emerging Tech’s government revenue targets, pipeline metrics, and growth objectives.
Lead and guide capture efforts from the initial decision to contract award, ensuring that all steps meet deadlines and quality standards.
Use industry tools (e.g., GovWin, Seaport, OASIS) to identify and track contracting opportunities, and perform competitive analysis to inform decisions on which opportunities to pursue.
Support small business partnerships, mentor-protégé relationships, and set-aside strategies to maximize competitive advantage.
Build relationships with government acquisition personnel, internal teams, BD leads, proposal managers, and key decision-makers to influence capture success.
Assist in proposal development by providing input on win strategies, pricing, and solution development.
Review FAR, procurement methods, and other relevant regulations to ensure compliance with government contracting requirements.
Maintain accurate records of all capture activities and client interactions within the company’s CRM system.
Mentor junior analysts, guiding them through the capture process to build their skills and support team development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, finance, marketing) preferred, though other degrees are acceptable.
At least 3 years of experience in building and maintaining a federal contracting pipeline, with a proven record of success in securing contracts.
Proven ability to leverage GovWin for market research, opportunity identification, competitive analysis, and pipeline tracking.
Demonstrated history of leading and winning 10+ federal contracts as a Prime, especially in support of small businesses.
Strong understanding of FAR, procurement methods, and small business set-aside programs.
Expertise in developing competitive strategies that align business capabilities with contracting opportunities, enhancing win probability.
Experience collaborating with internal teams, BD leads, proposal managers, and government decision-makers to influence outcomes.
